哥林多前书9章24-27
24 岂不知在场上赛跑的都跑，但得奖赏的只有一人？你们也当这样跑，好叫你们得着奖赏。 25 凡较力争胜的，诸事都有节制。他们不过是要得能坏的冠冕，我们却是要得不能坏的冠冕。 26 所以，我奔跑不像无定向的，我斗拳不像打空气的。 27 我是攻克己身，叫身服我，恐怕我传福音给别人，自己反被弃绝了。

24 Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one receives the prize? So run that you may obtain it. 25 Every athlete exercises self-control in all things. They do it to receive a perishable wreath, but we an imperishable. 26 So I do not run aimlessly; I do not box as one beating the air. 27 But I discipline my body and keep it under control,[Greek I pummel my body and make it a slave] lest after preaching to others I myself should be disqualified.
