Sailor Moon VS Sailor Galaxia Pt.4 - Viz Media DUB - Usagi’s love saves the Galaxy (Sailor Stars)

In her subconscious mind, the real Sailor Galaxia has looked back on her actions and what she fought for. She sensed that Chaos was gradually strengthening its evil energy while sealed, and her body would not be able to hold up for long. A massive, golden flowerbed appears all around Sailor Galaxia, revealing millions of star seeds. Knowing that she had to do something, she separated her star seed-the Light of Hope-from herself to the farthest corners of the galaxy; where Chaos could not find it. She knew that another would gently embrace its power and be safe in the hands of the newly born planets and stars of love and justice.

IFES · International Fellowship of Evangelical Students

Dear friends

Thank you for following and participating in the work of IFES around the world. Without you, and God's work through you, our work would be incomplete.

A few weeks ago Daniel Bourdanné wrote, sharing his joys from 2009, and encouraging us all to do the same.

He wrote:

----------

Often at the start of a new year, we can be tempted to ask what our labours have achieved over the past 12 months. In the process, we can be carried away by the culture of wanting instant success and seeing only failure: a budget deficit, unfinished projects, various hurts and discouragements. We lose the joy that leads us to thank God for his provision and his faithfulness. We lose the joy of our investment in students for long-term fruit, the joy of seeing the impact of our ministry in the church and in society, the joy of simply serving God by offering our lives without expectation of any instant success.

So, I want to share with you some of my many joys from 2009. I encourage you to do the same with others, so that we can all be infected by this response of gratitude to the Lord which spills over into praise and celebration. I will also be pleased to hear your joys from 2009 and how God is speaking to you.

- The joy of making a long term investment

On my visits to national movements, students, staff and board members have told me that they embrace the Living Stones vision and want to be involved in implementing it. I feel an overflowing joy to know that all the IFES general secretaries will soon meet in Malaysia for a conference on the vision (3-11 March) to be inspired and challenged by one another and, above all, by God. I pray we will see this vision become a reality.

- The joy of seeing our prayer life being strengthened

In 2009 we did not just talk about prayer, teach the theology of prayer or do Bible studies on the topic of prayer. We prayed! On World Student Day (6 November 2009) many people from all around the world prayed together. Each working day in the International Service Centre we dedicate 30 minutes to pray for national movements. Our International Executive Committee includes prayer for the movements as an integral part of its agenda when it meets. Some movements have appointed prayer coordinators and others are thinking of doing so.

- The joy of visiting and meeting people

A letter doesn't smile, so I was glad to have the joy of visiting a number of national movements last year: Focus Sri Lanka, IFES Netherlands, SMD Germany, the two Canadian movements (Inter-Varsity and GBUC), SCFSU Jamaica, GHAFES Ghana, FOCUS United Arab Emirates, GBU Spain, GBU Italy, CCX Ukraine, InterVarsity/USA, UCCF Great Britain, GBU Francophone Africa. I shared with students, staff and their families, board members, church leaders and university authorities; the visits were a joy.

- The joy of seeing the fruit of evangelism and mission

InterVarsity/USA has seen many more professions of faith among students, including at the Urbana 2009 missions convention, where several hundred students gave their lives to the Lord. In the Middle East and North Africa, an increasing number of students, some from Muslim backgrounds, coming to faith. In Europe, there have been excellent initiatives to train evangelists who can communicate effectively in the secular university world, and many small evangelistic Bible study groups have started following training by the regional team. There are also glimmers of hope in some closed countries in East and South Asia, where we hope to see pioneering ministry very soon.

- The joy of depending on the Lord's faithfulness

Despite the economic recession and financial difficulties last year, lack of funding did not stop our work amongst students. Some of you demonstrated greater generosity to others and some have shown more creativity in mobilising volunteers to do the work. The situation has led IFES to consider the urgent need of growing our indigenous support, so we will soon recruit a 'champion' who will lead this local fundraising initiative, working initially with some selected national movements.

- The joy of seeing increasing student initiative and generosity

I am renewed in my passion when I hear of students taking initiatives in evangelism, sometimes using unusual ideas such as new media and mobile phones. Last October I was also delighted to hear that NIFES Nigeria students were themselves fundraising to buy tents for the campsite for their missions convention in 2010. I later read that they managed to raise US$11,000! In June 2009 I was moved to receive financial gifts for my own ministry from students in several Latin American countries. Men in my culture do not readily cry, but I was unable to stop the tears when I heard of this generosity from some of the poorest countries in the world.

- The joy of working in a team

I treasure the members of my senior leadership team which consists of women (not as many as I would like) and men who have been fashioned and prepared by God for mission and who are passionate about student ministry. I look forward to each face-to-face meeting and each time we connect on our regular teleconference calls.

The things for which we can give thanks to the Lord far outnumber the discouragements and allow us to look to the future with hope and confidence. This is why I want us not to look at the disappointments of 2009, nor to be influenced by the world's philosophy of success, but to focus on the constant faithfulness of God.

Let us have a long term vision of what God is doing amongst students. Let us invest with perseverance, so that students will become living stones. Let us look forward with assurance and hope. We face trials of many kinds, but we need not be afraid because Jesus said 'see, I am with you to the end of the age' (Matthew 28:20b).

May God bless you richly through 2010.

Please do share your joys and encouragements from 2009, either by posting a message on the IFES page, or by email to info@ifesworld.org with the subject line 'Celebrating 2009'. We would also love to hear plans you have for 2010, so that we might join you in praying for God's favour.

God’s Healing for Life’s Losses: How to Find Hope When You’re Hurting

I’m excited to announce the upcoming (March/April) release by BMH Books of the book: God’s Healing for Life’s Losses: How to Find Hope When You’re Hurting.

To view the cover image, go here: http://bit.ly/60yaGq

Here’s the current wording for the back cover.

Find Hope When Your Hurting—Biblically and Relevantly

You’re tired of quick quips (“Just trust God”) and false hopes (“Time heals all wounds”). You’re ready for real and raw, honest and hopeful conversation about suffering, loss, and grief—from a Christian perspective. You’re longing for real answers, for real people, with real struggles. You’ve come to the right place. When life’s losses invade your world, learn how to face suffering face-to-face with God. Learn how to journey:

From Denial to Candor: Blessed Are Those Who Mourn

From Anger to Complaint: A Lament for Your Loss

From Bargaining to Crying Out to God: I Surrender All

From Depression to Comfort: God Comes

From Regrouping to Waiting: When God Says “Not Yet”

From Deadening to Wailing: Pregnant with Hope

From Despairing to Weaving: Spiritual Mathematics

From Digging Cisterns to Worshipping: Finding God

How do you deal with suffering and despair; the times when life seems so overwhelming that you just want to give up? Bob Kellemen has the answers. If you’re looking for tired clichés (“Just put on a happy face”), impersonal academic discourse, and worldly wisdom, then this is not the book for you. But if you want a thoroughly biblical and intensely honest examination of suffering from someone who has walked the path from “hurt to hope in Christ,” then God’s Healing for Life’s Losses is just the book for you.

—Ian Jones, Ph.D., Chairman, Counseling Department, Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary

“God’s Healing for Life’s Losses takes on traditional thoughts about grief and loss and turns them upside down. Dr. Kellemen takes us down to take us up as he develops a biblical theology of suffering and hope. There is a refreshing honesty about the pain of loss and the permission to be real with God and others as we embrace the mourning process together. This book is biblical, personal and healing; I highly recommend it.”

—Garrett Higbee, Psy. D., President, Twelve Stones Ministries; Executive Director, Harvest Biblical Soul Care

Robert W. Kellemen, Ph.D., LCPC, served for over a dozen years as Chairman of the Master of Arts in Christian Counseling and Discipleship Department at Capital Bible Seminary. In his three pastoral ministries, Bob has ministered to 100s of grieving parishioners. In his role as Founder and CEO of RPM Ministries (www.rpmminstries.org) Bob is known for his Christ-centered, comprehensive, compassionate, and culturally-informed approach to equipping God’s people to use God’s Word in their personal ministry.

BCSFN Friends,

I wanted you to know that after five years as the launch director of the BCSFN, that I've passed the baton of leadership to Ian Jones and Ron Hawkins. No burning bridges, nothing at all negative. I've been working on the transition for over a year.

Ian and Ron are very busy, so at this point it is doubtful that they will be able to keep up the Facebook BCSFN Fan Page.

I will be taking off the automated posts from my blog and I will no longer be posting resources, etc., on the Facebook BCSFN Fan page.

For those of you who would appreciate free resources, daily blog post notices, and a community interacting about biblical counseling and spiritual formation, you can join the Facebook RPM Ministries Fan Page here:

Quotes of Note about God’s Healing for Life’s Losses

Note: The following Quotes of Note are excerpted with permission from God’s Healing for Life’s Losses (http://bit.ly/dme4R8).

“In suffering, God is not getting back at you; He is getting you back to Himself.”

“There is no human experience which cannot be put on the anvil of a lively relationship with God and man, and battered into a meaningful shape.”

“When tragedy occurs, we enter a crisis of faith. We either move toward God or away from God.”

“Shared sorrow is endurable sorrow.”

“No grieving; no healing. Know grieving; know healing.”

“Christianity doesn’t in any way lessen suffering. It enables you to take it, to face it, to work through it and eventually convert it.”

“God wants to give us something, but cannot, because our hands are full—there is nowhere for Him to put it” (Augustine).

“Perhaps we suffer so inordinately because God loves us so inordinately and is taming us. God loves us too much to allow us to forget our neediness.”

“We live in a fallen world and it often falls on us.” “Our world is a mess and it messes with our minds.”

“God refuses to allow us to get too comfy here. Instead, He allows suffering—daily casket processionals—to blacken our sun so we cry out to His Son.”

“The only person who can truly dare to grieve, bear to grieve, is the person with a future hope that things will eventually be better.”

“When we trust God’s good heart, then we trust Him no matter what. We need not pretend. We can face and embrace the mysteries of life.”

“Spiritual friendship with God results in 20/20 spiritual vision from God.”

“To deny or diminish suffering is to refuse arrogantly to be humbled. It is to reject dependence upon God.”

Before God: The Biblical Doctrine of Prayer

Chapter Seven: The First Petition

“…only the Christian is able to call God “Father”. We are have an earthly father and I think by the time we come to God and called Him “Father”, we might have lost this meaning.

We can not find any prayer record outside the Bible where men addressed God as “Father” in their prayer until around early 1000 A.D. (Please let me know if do find such record).

I read books that encouraged Christians to use different names of God in prayer. Nothing wrong with that but there is absolutely nothing like “Father”.

The beauty of prayer is call upon God as "Father", unlike Baal’s 450 prophets, “they have to shouted, danced, prayed louder and cut themselves with knives and daggers, according to their ritual, until blood flowed.  They kept on ranting and raving until the middle of the afternoon; but no answer came, not a sound was heard.”1Kings 18. Not so with our heavenly “Father” ‘for He heard us and listened to our prayer’. Psalm 116:1

14/04/2010, 21:45

"The length of the prayer is not what God takes notice of, but the intensity and significance." (Page 174)

Quite a few friends asked me to provide quotes from this book. If you are looking for quotes, have your pen and paper(s) ready for this book. For myself, I was more focused on understanding of "The Biblical Doctrine of Prayer".

Hi Everyone!

My name is Ed Enochs and I am a long time friend of Pastor Mike Sarkissian. We go way back and did some important debates together for the Evangelical Debate Society.

I am a new administrator on the Before God Book Facebook page and I wanted to ask everyone if they have bought the book yet? Please order the book today  and get the word out about this important book to as many people you can!  The church needs revival and it starts through prayer!

Let's get the word out today!

Please contact me if I can help in anyway!

Hello brothers and sisters in the Lord

Thank you for joining this very unique prayer group. The doctrine of “prayer” can separate us quicker than any other doctrines. It is not because of different view points but rather the “prayer life” that I’m comfortable to say about eight out ten Christians are struggling with their “prayer life”.

We must not forget Satan will do everything he can to stop us to come before the throne of grace. Satan knows the ultimate weapon for a Christian is “prayer”. A Christian can put on the whole armor of God and not knowing the rest of Ephesians 6:18-20 concluded one must have a prayer life to go along with the whole armor of God.

Besides the Bible, this is the only book that I’m reading it the second time. I like Pastor Mike’s approached was NO “promises” but rather a constant reminder for me to pray. His new book change the way I come to the throne of grace. I pray that you will get this book and commit yourself to read it with your spouse, friends and Bible Study group.

Please remember, the whole armor of God does not mention any piece to cover “your back”. May you use this ultimate weapon, which is “prayer” to protect yourself when Satan is attacking from the back!

New Admin

Please welcome our new Admins, this group is blessed to have the author himself “Mike Sarkissian”, his best friend “Ed Enochs” and “Stephen Macasil”. Mr. Macasil will introduce himself shortly. (I just don’t want to give the whole farm away).

Brothers and Sisters,

I want to praise God for his grace regarding the many blessings people have shared concerning my book. We have quite possibly sold / given out just over 400 books in less than 3 months.

One of my books recently made it into the hands of a very influential and solid Reformed Christian blogger, Tim Challies. He receives a number of books monthly and is conducting a poll as to which books his readers would like to see him review this month. My book is one of them. If you would be so kind as to click on the following link to vote for my book for him to review: http://www.challies.com/general-news/a-weeks-worth-of-books

Just the other day he posted something referencing my book which was encouraging. May the Lord be glorified in our lives!

Respectfully,

Mike Sarkissian

Soli Deo Gloria

P.S. I bought many books because of Tim Challie's review. Daniel Mac

Hello Prayer Warriors

I’m sorry that there was a concern for the Study Guide download. Please email Pastor Mike or myself for this matter.

I’m still enjoying the many blessings this book brought into my family. Prayer was the very first thing Christ’s disciples asked Him to teach them. And I have placed “prayer” as first priority in my children’s life to learn before anything.

Please read Before God from pages 160-165 reference to the above quote.

Our heart-felt thoughts:

Sacred Music is not a noun in essence, but a verb, for it is meant to be always in a state of action.

Its nature encompasses 4 main aspects:

1. Its place of origin

Sacred Music is our response in praise to the Almighty God who manifested at His holy dwelling place and in the firmament which He created. Is there a dwelling place in this generation for the holy God? Does the universe continue to display God our creator’s power and wisdom? Most certainly, for the holy God lives within us and we are living in His holiness. This is where sacred music should outflow from.

2. The reason for it

If our Lord Jesus Christ did not sacrifice himself on the cross and redeem us from our sins, delivering us from darkness into the light, and if God did not reveal Himself to us, such proclamations would only be rhetorical and based mainly on our own sentiments. But because God indeed has done these for us, sacred music is thus a spontaneous and immediate action broken through from our lives in response to God to glorify His name.

3. Its content

Sacred music narrates God’s works and His will with corresponding praises that befits His name.

4. Its format and attitude

Sacred music should be pursued with meticulous precision, sonorously overflowing from the heart, with an acute understanding of the theology behind it. It is worshiping God in spirit and in truth through music. It impacts people with biblical teachings and absolute truths about God and His mighty deeds.

We hope that the Sacred Music Festival is truly a place to reverberate such music; along with the reason, its content and attitude, to give all glory to the Almighty God and Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen!

Exposing the False Prophets—Reformation Christians Against TBN

Friends:

1) In behalf of the administration, we send this.

2) Our new FB wall, "Exposing the False Prophets—Reformation Christians Against TBN," has grown considerably. We thank each of you for joining in the conversation.

3) We continue to read, research and "actively confess our faith." The "info" link at the left expresses our objective. That is, we "confess the faith" positively and also, negatively, against these false teachers.

4) We need your help. If you would take time to visit the wall, you will see a button to the left. The button says "invite people to join." If you could invite all your friends, even unbelievers, this would be helpful. We are endeavouring to "actively profess and confess" the Biblical and Reformational Gospel while identifying, explicitly, the false teachings of TBN.

Inviting your friends will indeed help.

Our wall, your wall, is at:

http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=308173344359&ref=search&sid=695090287.1366842596..1

5) If you have a post of merit, please post.

Thanks for joining and, if you will, thanks for helping us.

To the praise of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.

"We continue to read, research and rejoice in our common mission statement as outlined below. We're active and focussed, learning and refining. The evidence continues to mount. See the links on the our wall, about 637 leading you to much research. We thank your for your support, as we continue to remain faithful to the mission:

We uphold the five solas of the Reformation. We are Protestant, Creedal and Confessional. We are ready to give reason for our Faith and proclaim the Gospel to all men. We study, research, post articles, lament and most vehemently protest against the Trinity Broadcasting Network for its lack of doctrine, false teachers, a horrid presentation of the Gospel and for its abuse of all men and women, redeemed and unredeemed alike. Because of our love for all peoples and nations, we proclaim Justification by Faith alone based on the scriptural doctrines of sovereign grace. We strenuously confess our faith while opposing these lying and false spirits. True love of the Brothers and Sisters in Christ is revealed in making them aware of wolves in sheep’s clothing. Because we love the lost, we desire to see the true Gospel proclaimed and protected from abuse by those who falsely take the name of Christ. We stand against those who practice cultic powers over the weak, gullible, untaught, poor and desperate. "Here we stand, so help us God." Psalm 46. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GGzuUfQD-G4

One of our admins posted this at our wall.  Wanted to make sure all got a chance to read it.  Here it is.  Thanks Peter, good work.

--------------------------------

Who is God? What has He, Three in One, done to save His Church? What is He doing now? What means does He use to accomplish His purposes for His Church?

We are opposing the TBN heresy regarding the Trinity, as one doctrine among many other blasphemies. Modalism, Sabellianism, Tritheism, 9-Persons in the Trinity (Hinn) and much more.

We encourage all members to study and reflect on the Biblical warrants as expressed in the following Confessions:... See More

The Apostles', Nicene, and Athanasian Creeds.

Also, the historic Confessions: Book of Concord, The Westminster Standards (Confession, Shorter and Larger Catechisms), Belgic Confession, Canons of Dordt, Heidelberg Catechism, the XXXIX Articles, Irish Articles of 1615, among several others.

Another substantial TBN omission: justification by grace through faith alone is another Biblical doctrine neither found nor heard amongst these false teachers. This is not a doctrinal island, but affects every other point of theology. It's never heard on TBN.

Remember, Paul Crouch Sr. says that "doctrine is doo doo" (literally, as was posted in one of our many links).

According to Romans 8:28-30, the elect are sovereignly chosen and predestined solely by grace, not on the basis of foreseen faith. That raises the entire issue of Arminianism that governs TBN teachers. Some in our forum have raised this also, Reformed Theology.

We confess God's gracious predestination is to eternal glory, when, unlike in this mortal life, the whole Church will be conformed perfectly and completely to the image of His Son.

This too is the work of God accomplished through His Word and the Holy Sacraments.

It is not by dreams, visions, incoherent babbling or other carnal, sensuous, and gross manifestations of the flesh, e.g. "slain in the spirit," "fits of hilarity," "rolling on the floor" and more.

The Word and Sacraments are God's means of grace, which true ministers faithfully dispense in the "True Churches." Churches which bear the true marks of a church.

Those who teach the noted errors must be viewed as outside the true Church.

If one does not accept the Creeds and the true summaries of the Biblical Faith...if one teaches contrary to them, by definition, that teacher is an idolater.

Idolaters do not rightly teach salvation. Nor do they understand the Word and sacraments. TBN-teachers and congregations lack the marks of a True Church.

Exposing the False Prophets—Reformation Christians Against TBN

19/03/2010, 08:57

Greetings,

We invite you to actively participate on this site by posting links, videos, comments and anything you feel would be helpful in assisting us to spread awareness of the false modern day Pentecostal and Charismatic gospels being perpetuated by TBN. An exposition of this network and its foundation of Pentecostal Charismaticism is important because we believe its deceitful fruits have led millions of souls to perdition while defaming the precious name of the Holy Spirit. We believe that these are wolves in sheep’s clothing who have exploited the infirmities of the sick and desperate by promising lies in exchange for donations.

But what is the mass appeal to Pentecostal Charismaticism? Since its inception in the early 1900s, the Pentecostal movement has spread from a handful of people in Topeka, Kansas and in Los Angeles, California to a worldwide movement that today numbers a half billion people, having led to the modern day Charismatic movement of the last 30 years which spawned the multimillion dollar empire of televangelism. At its core, the idea of supernatural continuism and adherence to unsound, faulty doctrines are the driving forces that appeal to the flesh rather than the regenerate Spirit of sinners. However, not only has the movement failed to produce the early gifts taught in the scriptures – but they’ve granted themselves liberty to create new modes of practices such as: “Slain in the Spirit”, “holy laughter”, “toking the Spirit” and a whole host of other unscriptural abominations in the name of seeking a new and improved emotional “experience”of God. Besides their emphasis of Charismata, an objectively critical examination reveals that while they disregard doctrine in general as “evil” and the cause of division, they themselves adhere to many historically rejected ancient heresies such as: Pelagianism, Semi-Pelagianism, Arminianism, Montanism, Sabellianism, Modalism, Finneyism, Mysticism, Hyper-Spiritualism, Necromancy and many other practices seemingly inspired by Witchcraft, Voodoo and psychic phenomena.

We are a group of reformed Christians who teach, preach and confess the historical orthodox Christian Faith as taught in the scriptures and summarized in faithful Church confessions such as: The Augsburg Confession, Thirty-Nine Articles, Belgic Confession, Heidelberg Catechism, Canons of Dordt and the Westminster Confession of Faith among others. We believe the true God to be one God in three distinct persons: the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe that repentant and believing sinners are declared righteous by sovereign grace alone, through faith alone in Jesus Christ. Since our Lord prayed: "Sanctify them by thy truth; thy Word is truth." (John 17:17),  Holy Scripture is to be preached, read, heard, taught, sung, and prayed in the Church to convert the lost and make Christians grow in holiness. Yelling, fainting, laughing, gibberish, falling over, and other such displays dishonor God’s appointed means of grace and blaspheme the Holy Spirit's name. We vigorously oppose the continuist philosophy of Pentecostal Charimasticism and specifically the centralized machine of such religion found on TBN. If you are a likeminded Christian, we hope you will help us in our efforts.

Soli De Gloria!

There is a Facebook group called "Comfortable Words" which has links to the 1662 Book of Common Prayer.I can only recommend trying it.  The Prayerbook rubrics call for its being said on Sundays, Wednesdays, and Fridays with Morning Prayer.  Here is the link to the Litany:

An open letter to all members of  “Exposing the False Prophets—Reformation Christians Against TBN”

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.”    Romans 1:16-17

There can be no religion without sincerity. The righteousness of

Christ, imputed to us, is a breastplate against the arrows of Divine

wrath.  The combat is not against human enemies, nor against our own corrupt nature only; we have to do with an enemy who has a thousand ways of beguiling unstable souls. The devil assaults us in the things that belong to our souls, and labor to deface the heavenly image of God. We must resolve by God's grace, not to yield to Satan.  Resist him, and he will flee.

If we give way, he will gain ground.   We must fight him everywhere he is found.  Satan lurks not in seedy back alleys, neither in the taverns or brothels, but in our very churches.   Satan has entered in when we were not looking, while we were dozing off in our pews, Satan crept in and sat among us.  While we were mouthing along with the singing of spiritual hymns and psalms, Satan was indoctrinating us in damnable heresies, bending us to his will rather than God's.

Now Christ's Church no longer resembles His Church at all.  We have become fat and lazy in our worship and service to Him.  We have failed our Lord and Savior. We have turned our back to Him.  We have traded sound doctrine and proper Biblical worship for entertainment, for amusements, we have taken our “Christ Centered Worship” and replaced it with a “Man Centered Worship.”   We have failed.  I will someday soon stand before Christ and I will have to give an account of why I did nothing to stop this..... and so will you brethren.   So it is with this plea I beg you, help defend the One True Gospel of Jesus Christ!

Voice your concerns against the horrid false teachings of TBN and other fake Christian networks.  Let your voice be heard. Stand up for what you know is right, for what you know is pure.  Do not purchase books from any of the false teachers and prophets who litter our bookstores with horrible “man centered” teachings.  Complain to your local Christian bookstore when they carry these books, demand that they carry sound books.  Do not watch, promote of give money to TBN, Daystar, The Word Network or any other horrid network that is driven by greed and not the Gospel.  Come together as the body of Christ and work together in prayer and sufferings for The Body!  Edify each other, train each other up in sound doctrine.  Be a witness to those blinded by these false prophets, be a light in this dark world.

In Ephesians 6:10-24 the apostle Paul lays out for us the means by which we can accomplish this.  We have been given the armor and weapons we need to carry on in our defense of the Gospel.  We only need to arm ourselves.

When we arm ourselves with such qualities as... Truth, Righteousness, The Gospel, Faith, The hope of salvation, The word of God, and Prayer....then we are "strong in the Lord and in the power of His might"!

With such strength, we are able to resist and stand firm against anything Satan might throw against us.  We do not have the private jets and the many mansions, or the millions of dollars they have but we do have The Word of God!

“For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.”   Hebrews 4:12

Our enemies are mighty, and we are without strength, but our

Redeemer is almighty, and in the power of his might we may overcome.

Wherefore we must stir up ourselves.

May God Bless Our Service To Him!

Over eight years ago now, while heading to a Christian Retreat, as was my husband and my practice for well near 10 years, I pulled a book off the shelf just as we were leaving. That book and the book my husband selected would be used by God to open our eyes to what His Word actually taught. That book was “Old Paths” by JC Ryle.

As I began to read the first chapter, which was merely an introduction to the great doctrines of grace which the Reformers recovered, I was stunned that a verse the Lord had put on my heart for several months prior was the key verse of this book:

Thus says the LORD:

“Stand by the roads, and look,

and ask for the ancient paths,

where the good way is; and walk in it,

and find rest for your souls.

But they said, ‘We will not walk in it.’

Jeremiah 6: 16

So began the journey into seeing what the Church had historically held as beliefs since the time of the Reformation. What I did not know was that the early Church until the time where the Roman Church became corrupt also held to these same doctrines of grace.

I grew up in an Arminiast, Holiness-Pentecostal church. I knew that if I sinned during the week that I would have to go down the aisle to the altar and “give my all to Jesus” once again. I knew I would have to “consecrate myself” just one more time and hope it stuck this time. I would kneel there hoping the pastor would come and pray for me and speak some strange tongue over me and impart some additional grace needed to have complete “victory in Jesus.” Well, he never did come and pray for me and I was there for over 10 years. That’s a lot of Friday nights and Sunday nights at the altar hoping for a mediator to give me some “second blessing” so I could be a victorious Christian. But it never made sense to me. How could I lose my salvation when I knew I had not “chosen” God because the very circumstances of my conversion were so dramatic (think Saul’s trip to Damascus) and I had no thought of conversion the day the Lord graciously regenerated me and gifted me with saving faith by His grace alone.

But that summer, only a few years ago, the Lord changed everything for my husband and I. He, through reading a history book about the reformers and I in this more “theological” text. Then we began to question…everything. As we sat in the meetings at this retreat we questioned everything that was being taught. These supposed healings of back aches and coughs when the next day as we would see our friend(s) who were “healed” suffering either worse aches and pains or still with their cough. This, of course, would be blamed either on their lack of faith, or some demonic activity and then we’d have to troop around the meeting hall with banners unfurled claiming each inch for Jesus. That didn’t make sense either to either of us. And we would question, with boldness often. Each time though, the pastor would tell us, “Don’t get religious on us now.” “Just go with the flow.” We could not ask what slaying in the Spirit actually did or what it was supposed to feel like. We were not allowed to question the “lord’s anointed” because that would cause doubt and doubt is of the enemy. When we tried to discuss the Word of God with the pastor, He said, “Oh just follow the Spirit. He’ll tell you what to do.” Thinking back to that, we did exactly as told but not the way he meant it. For we began to open our Bibles and search out what we were being taught.

First thing I did was find out if any of these “experiences” were in the Word of God. To my surprise they weren’t. Much of the “proof texts” were taken out of context. Many of their “texts” were even in the Bible but in some one’s book about these super-giftings. When I read in Scripture that these were not in there I had to think, “Then how can we be sure they’re from God? We have no way to validate these ‘miracles’ and ‘experiences’ except on the word of humans.”

That next year we began to research on the internet this thing called “Calvinism.” We were in for a shock because for the most part we believed what the Reformers taught:

God is Sovereign, Absolutely Sovereign. He rules and reigns. He chooses who will be saved. He decides what happens if a person is sick. We don’t get to tell Him to move on this earth, He allows us to breathe.

God is the one who gives new birth. The dead in sin can’t respond to Him. So God moves first giving the sinner new life, regenerating them and then giving them the gift of saving faith. This is all by His Grace and not because we asked (how does a dead person ask) or “chose Him” or “decided for Jesus.”

We learned that the Atonement of Christ was actually powerful enough to save His People. It didn’t merely open up the possibility to be saved, but instead it actually procured their salvation. See we began to learn that Jesus was our Substitute and so His good works and His obedience unto death is what God now accounts to our bankrupt spiritual account. Through faith (gifted by the Holy Spirit) we lay hold of the sufficiency of Jesus Christ as our Substitute, our Ransom, our Savior. This was completely new to us and we rejoiced in God our Savior.

We learned that when God begins to work on an individual that work of regeneration that it is irresistible. It is irresistible because once that person is given new life, they actually WANT to come to Christ. It is an amazing thing. Truly Amazing Grace!!!

Then we learned that because Christ paid the full penalty of our sins and the sins of His elect that they could not lose their salvation because the Work of Christ was sufficient to satisfy the Laws demands.

The following year I had bought a t-shirt that said, “Theologian in Training.” I had gone back to school to finish my BA and had transferred from Counseling to Theology & Apologetics (that’s defending the faith). My husband bought the shirt, “I love my theologian.” Well, we wore it to one of the services at the retreat (we were a little slow getting completely out of charismatic and the new apostolic movement). The pastor saw the shirts (we were in the 2nd row) and said, “Oh we don’t need theology. Let’s just get stupid for Jesus.” I nearly fell off the chair laughing so hard. However, God used us that some and the following because we began to question boldly, not to the pulpit but the pew, what was being taught. Eventually we had a gathering every night in our little efficiency that we rented where we all questioned what was taught. That summer I began working on my book “A Modern Ninety-Five: Questions Todays Evangelicals Need to Answer” as my own questions grew from 2 or 3 to well over 90 and eventually to 95 particular concerns I have about the Word of Faith and Apostolic Movements (which are currently merging as one movement now).

This group is about teaching people to think about what they are hearing from the televangelists and the new apostles and prophets. It is about educating believers in what Scripture truly teaches. It is about recovering what the Reformers recovered all over again. It is about learning historical Christianity through the Creeds and Confessions of the Church. Each of us administrators comes from a different stream within the Reformation but we all adhere to the following:

Sola Fide - Faith Alone

Sola Gracia – Grace Alone

Solus Christus – Christ Alone

Solus Scriptura – Scripture Alone

Soli Deo Gloria – God’s Glory Alone

You did not choose God, He chose you. Because of His love and mercy, through grace alone, he gave you the gift of saving faith alone (your works count for nothing) and it is in Christ alone that your redemption has been applied and accomplished. Your works count for nothing. You didn’t even possess saving faith so God gifted that to you by His Holy Spirit. Your works count for nothing towards your salvation. We know this because revelation, special revelation is found in the Written Word of God alone. Since His Word is complete there is no need for any special revelation from God outside of His Word. There are no need for dreams or visions because His Word is the complete revelation of God to us about Jesus Christ. You don’t need to go to a “prophet” because The Prophet, which Moses spoke about has come and His Name is Jesus.

This means that from start to finish your salvation is to the Glory of God alone. You can take no credit for any “decision” or “choosing” because it was God who decided to save you and therefore chose you to be redeemed through the sufficient obedience of Jesus Christ in life and in death.

If you would like to read more of my story you can purchase the book “A Modern Ninety-Five: Questions Today’s Evangelicals Need to Answer” here at wipf and stock publishers.

Over the decades, sound doctrine, the very doctrines that gave birth to our country and our way of life, has eroded away to a more experience based, emotional rather than knowledgeable way of looking at Christ and life. Works righteousness has found it's way back into our churches. And Christ, though we still like to sing about Him, has been left in the car so to speak as we pay lip service to Him but betray Him with our false worship.  Faithful preachers and expounders of God's Holy Word have been replaced by wolves, sometimes intentionaly and some simply misguided with a lack of knowledge of Scripture.

For this reason we feel a urgent need to return to these teachings. To sit back and "settle" or to feel judgmental in decrying these false prophets and wolves is to turn our backs on God's wonderful grace and Christ finished work on the cross. For these reasons we started this group, a small voice in a big crowd screaming for truth. Demanding that every bit of the glory goes to God and not to any man or woman who can buy their way onto a cable TV channel.

Knowledge in the Son of God is the Key! How do we get that knowledge when our heads are full of Folk Theology? Remember, these false prophets have spent decades putting these lies in our heads, but that does not mean we have to hoard these lies. We would like to begin in a series of teachings, nothing radical, just the truth as stated in the Bible.

Please do not simply take our word for anything we post on here, just as is the case with anything, check the Scriptures yourself to see if what is said is correct. A lot of what will be posted will not be new to you, maybe to some people it might be edifying, for this reason we ask that you bear with us and by all means, please, put in your own input, correct, rebuke, refute anything. We would like to begin by posting on the"The FIVE SOLAS Of The REFORMATION." We feel these five little slogans are at the very least, a good summary of our core beliefs in the Christian faith. To introduce these five short but powerful statements we first need a bit of introduction as to where and why they came into being. I hope you will join us at the group page as we go through these teachings.

On a personal note, from all the admins of this group, we would like to thank you for being a part of this ministry and we are pleased to see so many of you posting and sharing your thoughts, stories, loves and heartaches with us.  May God bless each and everyone of your ministries.

I am weary. I am frustrated and I know many of you are as well. Can I ask everyone in this group to join me this week, where ever you might be in this world, to come together as the Body of Christ, as those who are not ready to give up, for those of us who denounce the idol worshiping, to join with me in praying fora Second Reformation. For the next Seven days,at least once a day, let us all, each and everyone of us, go to Our Heavenly Father, let us go to His very Throne and beg Him for another Reformation.

I plead with each one of you, join me in prayer, at least once a day for the next seven days, make time to pray. I ask for nothing else. I ask only as a slave to my Master, not as anyone important, not as a celebrity, not as a leader of men, but only as a lowly slave. Please, pray with me, come to The Throne with me, let us beg together.

Prayer (traditional language)

Grant to us, Lord, we beseech thee, the spirit to think and do always such things as are right, that we, who cannot do anything that is good without thee, may by thee be enabled to live according to thy will; and admonished by the writings ...of thy servant John Calvin, may see in the blessings thou dost give us the fruits, not of our deserving, but of thy pure bounty, through Jesus Christ our Lord, who liveth and reighneth with the and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever.

Prayer (contemporary language)

Grant to us, Lord, we pray, the spirit to think and do always those things that are right; that we, who cannot do any thing that is good without you, may by you be enabled to live according to your will; and, taught by the writings of your servant John Calvin, may see in the blessings you give us the fruits, not of our deserving, but of your pure bounty; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever.

1. Yesterday, our admins authorized me to write a message.  I will have one in a few days.

2. Also, yesterday, Peter Otajian, one of our admins offered an excellent prayer, to wit, that we might honour and learn from one of Christ's premier servants, John Calvin.  It was an excellent prayer.

3. Today, 27 May, we remember the Venerable Bede of the eighth century.  His Ecclesiastical History is a must-read.  He's not infallible, inerrant, sinless, or perfect, but he was justified by faith alone in Christ alone and Bede served our Triune God--the Glorious God--with honour, courage, intelligence, and manfulness.

4. Of course, we always need help.  You can invite your friends by visiting the page and using the "invite friends" button to the left under the logo.  Confronting the false, defamatory and dishonouring statements of TBN is not optional.  It's a Christian duty to do our part.

5.  As we did with Calvin, so here we beseech His Majesty that we might stand and speak anew and with freshness in these time.

Let us pray:

Prayer (traditional language)

Grant to us, Lord, we beseech Thee, the spirit to think and do always such things as are right; that we, who cannot do any thing that is good without Thee, may by Thee alone, be enabled to live according to Thy inscripturated will; and, instructed and admonished by the writings of thy servant long past, the Venerable Bede, by his example, manliness, courage and integrity...that Thou wouldst give us the same fruits, not of our deserving, but of Thy pure bounty;

O LORD, in this blessed week of Whitsunday, we bless, magnify and adore Thy work this very day through the assured promise and Presence of the Holy Spirit; Spare us good LORD from the contemporary "super apostles and bragonomists and all who blaspheme and defame Your August Name. Spare us from false doctrine, heresy, schism, hardness of heart and contempt for Thy great glory and Thy great Word; This we ask through Jesus Christ our only Lord and Advocate, who liveth and reigneth with thee and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.

Best regards, all.

Just wanted to let our members know that there are plenty of resources out there to help you move from charismatica/pentecostalism and all the other ism's out there into the Reformed Doctrines of Grace.  One of which is

www.monergism.com

You may always want to check out a book I wrote with regard to questioning some of the teachings going out over the airwaves (ie slaying in the spirit, tongues, deliverance, et al).

1.  Ill-advisedly, I write without consultation of the very wise admins of our webpage against TBN-loons.   Hence, my comments will be well within the allowable limits that they would approve.  I move quite carefully and in regard to their views.  The admins on this FB-page consult often.  They "just do."  They are wise. They are united.  "We" are united against loondom.

2.  The solid admins of this FB-page never release messages without mutual consultation.  As a team, we are united against the TBN, Pentecostalist loons. We are "united" with Velcro-to-one-another.]

3. So why write?  I ask you to visit the FB-page.  Use the button to the left of the logo.  "Invite People to Join."  We have 2600 members, but need support.  We need to grow.  This is precisely why I write.

4. Are you opposed to TBN and these Pentecostalist loons?  If so, stand with us.  Invite your friends.

If there are typoes, please indulge me.

Regards to all.

The FB page, "Exposing the False Prophets--Reformation Christians Against TBN" still exists.   We continue to visit and post.

We encourage all supporters to visit the page and use the button on the left under the logo, entitled "Invite Members to Join."  Invite your friends.

My own FB numbers have swelled to 5000.  It's time for this scribe to "use and employ" what I'm commending to others.

1.  The FB Admins are a gracious breed...all of em.'

2.  Many thanks to those responding to the early-AM-message of 6 Aug 10 asking folks to use the button on our FB-page.  That button on the FB-page, to the left under the logo, to wit, is "Invite People to Join."  Thanks to those who answered the petition and who IM'ed me.  We've had about 60 join us today.

I got through my 5000-friend-list "A-L."  Will finish M and following in a few days.

3.  Again, many thanks.  God's speed, blessing, and His blessed, irradiant, effulgent countenance upon all as His Majesty's Day of Worship approaches tomorrow...where we hear His most Holy Word, set forth His most praise, and ask those things that are requisite for the body, as well as the soul...but I digress.  Many thanks.

Let us pray His Majesty as befits His dignity---Psalm 95, 96, 98, 100, inter alia.

4. Command unity.  We must unite--admins to members.  This TBN-thing won't go away without every hand doing his or her duty.  TBN is a plague.

Just a few moments ago the Admins of this group were sent an email from FB that we had committed "Intellectual Infringement".  What had truly occurred was that a member of the group, who was a self-claimed prophet (and a woman no less) was offended that one of our admins took a stand against her claim and admonished her.  This discussion was on the wall of the group.  The group was temporarily unavailable but all is well now.  So, we admins agreed that a general message be sent explaining what occurred.  Also, we ask the following:

If you have a complaint about this group, you don't like that we stand against TBN and all so-called prophets (for there are NONE in the Church any longer), just leave the group. We allowed you to join, you are free to leave. However, there are others who do enjoy this group and are being helped through it.

Thirdly, we have now made the group a "closed group" which means that all future requests for membership must be approved by the administrators who will review each request on an individual basis.

We as Administrators take our roles here in the group very seriously and believe that we are fighting against all sorts of heresies that would weaken the Church of Christ at every possible vantage point.  So together we stand united in one faith, one Lord, one baptism and adhere to the creeds and confessions of the Church.  We draw the line here and no father and say to those who wish to destroy and corrupt the Church:  You shall not pass.

You are receiving this email because you clicked the "like" button on this group at some point.  Therefore, in light of the issues this group has had with FB over the last 24 hours a new group was created with membership request required in order to join.  If you wish to join the new group follow this link.  Remember, we are a Confessional, Creedal group of Reformation Christians which means we embrace all three branches of the Reformation (Lutheran, Presbyterian/Reformed, and Anglican).  If you believe in the Doctrines of Grace, are Confessional and Creedal than you will fit right in.  Those who aren't you are our guests and we ask you to abide by the description of the new group.

1. We were confidentially "flamed" by a "flagger."   Ergo, the title, "flaming flagger."

2. We went and were out of action for a day.  The old site is up, but "cranky," sometimes working, sometimes not.  We'll have to staff both sites now.

3.  The new one is at:

http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=149264058423513

4. The name is almost identical to the old one.  The new name is: Reformation Christians against False Prophets, False Teachers and TBN.

5. A few changes, however.  We are Confessional Reformational Churchmen--all three streams of the Reformation.  Reformed, Lutheran and Anglican.

A second change.  It is closed.  Membership is by invitation.  You can request to join us also.  However, we are not Anabaptists.  Again, we are Reformational and Confessional.

We stand against TBN, Daystar, and the rest of them.

Regards.

“Christians all over the world can celebrate Easter, but for Christian Palestinians, the Israeli Zionist military occupation have made of everyday a good Friday (sad Friday in Arabic), and we are still waiting for our own resurrection as a free nation.” Fr. Firas Areedah, Jifna, Palestine.

Restrictions on the Freedom of Worship:

• Entry to Jerusalem for West Bank and Gaza Christians is always restricted. On the occasion of Easter, Palestinian Christians living outside of Jerusalem in the West Bank and Gaza are being required to apply for permits to access their holy sites in occupied East Jerusalem. It is estimated that of those, only 2000 – 3000 Palestinian Christians have received permits. Jews do not have to apply for permits to access their holy sites during their holy days nor in any other day.

• The permit system instated by Israel is in obvious violation of the ICPRR, Universal Declaration of Human Rights and other international covenants and treaties to which Israel is a signatory.

• Worshipers will be restricted by road blocks and check points around the West Bank and the Old City of Jerusalem.

• This year, buses going to Jerusalem from Ramallah and Bethlehem with worshipers planning to attend the Palm Sunday procession were stopped on the way by Israeli occupation forces (IOF). Many were unable to attend the historic procession.

Example: The Holy Family Scout Group, which belongs to the Roman Catholic Church in Ramallah, took four hours to reach occupied Jerusalem. They missed the procession from the Mount of Olives to the Old City. The drive, without checkpoints, would take about 20 minutes.

• During Jewish holidays, Palestinian areas are put under military closure.

• Palestinian Christians living in Jerusalem and the West Bank were denied entry to the Old City for the first two days of the holy week.

• Israeli Zionist military occupation police banned Palestinian Christians and scout groups from flying the Palestinian flag during the Palm Sunday procession.

• The heavy presence of Israeli Zionist Police and Military forces (around and in the Old City and surrounding the holy sites) disturbs the spiritual traditions of Easter.

• Every year Christians try to spiritually connect Bethlehem, the city were Jesus was born with city were the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus have taken place. This connection is made through the traditional Sunday Palm march, in which this year many Palestinians and foreign supporters were arrested on their way. The two spiritual centers for Christians are separated by a complex network of apartheid walls, checkpoints and apparatuses.

• Last year, Israel prevented Palestinian Christians from attending the Holy Fire Saturday in Jerusalem. This year the church has objected to a permit system that was instated in an effort to limit those who attend the Saint Jacob church to witness the lightening of the Holy Fire. So far, Palestinian Christians are uncertain about what kind of restrictions they will face this Easter weekend.

Israeli Zionist Colony Activity in the Christian Quarter is changing the Face of the Old City:

Along the Via Dolorosa, the path on which Christians believe Jesus was taken from captivity to the cross, there are the 14 ‘Stations of the Cross’. Colony activity is prominent at most of those Stations:

o At Station 1: There is colony activity at the exit from the tunnels under the Old City.

o At Station 3: A colony building – the house of former Israeli terrorist Prime Minister Ariel Sharon, which was confiscated from the Palestinian Christian Francis Tams.

o At Station 5: A heavily protected colony located over Christian Palestinian homes and shops has changed the landscape of the station, where it is believed by Christians that Jesus fell the first time on his way to the crucifixion.

o At Station 9: Colony located over the Souq (market) going to Al Aqsa compound, visible from the Coptic neighborhood.

o At Stations 11, 12, 13 and 14 (Holy Sepulcher): The Moristan colony, known by Palestinians as Saint John. This property confiscation led to the forced eviction and cleansing of an estimated 44 Christian Palestinian families. Zionist Colonists have also taken over a Christian Monastery located in front of the Holy Sepulcher.

o There have been reports of hundreds of attacks by heavily armed Jewish religious colonists against Christian pastors, bishops, and nuns from all denominations, as well as Christian Palestinian civilians, in the Old City of Jerusalem.

o Zionist Colony activity in the Christian Quarter in the old city of Jerusalem has increased lately, aiming to change the identity of the place. Examples: Work nearby the Jaffa Gate, threats to close the Petra and Empire hotels within the Old City.

The number of Palestinian Christians in 1948 was more than 20% out of the total population, since then it has declined to 10% in 1967 and 2% today. This decline has been attributed to the ethnic cleansing of Palestinians in 1948, the occupation and the continuous harassment and humiliation of the Palestinian people in the West Bank, Gaza and Jerusalem.

I want to apologize for the anti Isreal material sent out. This group is for discussion of Christianity and Islam and is not for promotion of a political agenda. Those who set themselves against the Jews are under God's curse. Christians are spiritual JEWS acccording to the bible. Isreal belongs to the Jew and all others are strangers in that land and should be treated with kindness. However, even as David did not put his hand against God's anointed Saul, so should Christians not oppose isreal. We must leave the situation for God to resolve. Kim

Romans 2:25-29 For circumcision verily profiteth, if thou keep the law: but if thou be a breaker of the law, thy circumcision is made uncircumcision.  Therefore if the uncircumcision keep the righteousness of the law, shall not his uncircumcision be counted for circumcision?  And shall not uncircumcision which is by nature, if it fulfil the law, judge thee, who by the letter and circumcision dost transgress the law?  For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh:   But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.

Once again I apologize for the rude behaviour of some members. I do not always catch every thing and for that I am sorry. I would like another Muslim Admin to moderate the group for rude behavior and inappropraite material. Please do not delete any doctrinal post that you may disagree with as this group promotes freedom of speach with moral and ethical limitations. Kim
